Interactive Maths Websites

Count on

While I was chatting to our mathemagicians here at school, I learned of a site that the tutors use with the pupils afterschool. They seem to really enjoy it as the interaction of the games makes for pleasurable learning in Maths. Thanks the the Korean boys in Years 4 and 5 for this link.

While rooting about in the site I have come across two areas of choice. The favoured Who wants to be a millionaire is always an assembly pleaser (especially when the kids know there is Goldern Time to win!). This game Mathionare and this fabulous idea of a Taxi driver getting around town. 

 

Mathletics

This is a subscription only site that allows an whole e-learnign environment to take place. The folks I know in the FOBISSEA ICT (opens in new window) network have put this on very good recommendation as a purchase for all schools.
